How Do I Claim Tax Exempt Status on the Web Site?

To claim (and save) tax exempt status in our online store, you will have to create a Business, Government, Educational, or VAR (Value Added Reseller) entity account here or use an existing account already set up that way. The billing and shipping address needs to be associated with the tax exempt entity’s name and address. We cannot ship tax exempt orders to a personal address unless a government credit card is being used.

When completing your order, at the option for selecting shipping options, check the box for tax exemption. This will put a hold on your order after it is placed, preventing your order from invoicing until we receive a tax exemption form. You may find the appropriate tax form for your state on this page. Please complete your certificate with your information and email it to ecommerceorders@micron.com or fax it to 208-363-5560. We will then associate the form to your account. Please be sure to include your order number (located in the subject line of the order confirmation e-mail you receive) on the cover sheet of your fax.  This will allow us to remove the tax from your pending order, process your order, and put the form on file for future orders.
